About
Sammie is a Southern California native; she moved to Utah in 2010.
After passing her cosmetology exam with flying colors in California, she spent a year as a salon assistant and Jr. Stylist in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills.
In the Fall of 2014, after trying out a few of Utah’s salons, Sammie started as a Level 1 stylist at JaggedEDGE Salon in Draper, shortly after being promoted to a Level 2 Stylist, she decided it was time to spread her wings and opened Sammie Star Salon.
Sammie enjoys all aspects of women’s hair services including: design & styling, color, and extensions. She is also highly skilled in Men’s barbering!
In her downtime at the salon, you can find her studying all things hair; reviewing product knowledge manuals, watching Sam Villa videos and signing up for classes to further expand her knowledge.
When she isn’t in the salon, you can find this free spirit roped to a wall at the local rock climbing gym, in a yoga class, or bouldering a rock face in Little Cottonwood Canyon. She is a self-taught knitter of 20+ years who loves to sing karaoke. On quiet nights at home, she enjoys cooking, playing video games and watching movies
